A stolen projector isn't just the cost of a projector

It's a screwed up lecture in a classroom, keynote presentation in your conference center,  venture capital presentation in your hotel. Sure you've got a back-up on your shelf, but whatever else you planned to do this morning, you won't. As is you're in warp mode dealing with this.

This will happen again. You know that because this wasn't your first. Maybe that's why you're here.

Security cables or security cages to lock and protect projectors from theft work to some degree, but these are defensive measures. The people who steal these are pros who scout, plan, and bring tools – which in the case of projectors, sometimes means a ladder.

Defensive measures alone aren't enough.

Sonic Shock is an

Offensive Defence

Your thieves Hate Noise

Sonic Shock works by actively delivering something thieves don't want. They don't want to be noticed. Thieves want to blend with the floor, have nobody recall when they were there, who they were, what they looked like. They want quiet so they can hear if someone's coming.

Sonic Shock alarms deny all these things.

Universities, hospitals, hotels, and corporate venues world wide have used Sonic Shock alarms for over 20 years, finding them a potent proven deterrent against theft of projectors from classrooms, conference rooms, and public areas.

Toxic for Thieves

Noise, any unusual noise at all, attracts attention thieves don't want. Most pros just walk away. Which actually is what you want and what we want. Better than catching somebody is having no one doing anything worth catching.

Pain in the Ass to pry off

High grade Stainless Steel with welded corners and polycarbonate mounting plate, all affixed with industrial methyl methacrylate structural adhesive to the side, top or bottom of the projector housing. If they get it off, what's left won't sell for much.

Offensive defense

Cables or cages can be quickly defeated. They DO slow thieves down, which is good, but they're defensive. Sonic Shock is offensive, it poses a threat, and degrades the sale value of the unit if thieves try to pry it off.

Painless for you.

ZERO false alarms. You can stick it any way you want – sideways, upside down, whatever. You can bump into it, hit it with a mallet, service the machine or reposition it. Only cutting or unplugging the 10 foot/3 metre tether triggers the alarm. No low battery beeps: the battery will last 5 years and is easy to replace. You can get all your alarms keyed alike. And if you buy more, you can still get that same key code.

No false alarms. Never. Not ever.

Sonic Shock isn't position or motion sensitive. It's triggered by someone cutting on unplugging a sensor cable which is attached to some secure fixture such as a roof truss or metal pipe You can mount the alarm  front, back, side, upside down. You can make position adjustments or do in situ service without having to turn off the alarm. You can bump it, have an electrical storm, power outage, or earthquake, you will never have a false alarm.

Features

2 Hour Siren

Thieves can't just wait it out. Once triggered the alarm doesn't stop until you shut it off or the battery dies – with the Sonic Shock 5 it's two hours at full volume, many more hours at lower volume.

5 Year Battery Life

Actually it'll take 50 years for monitoring alone to drain the battery, but batteries themselves don't live that long. We suggest replacing if the alarm has sounded for a while, or after about 5 years. But if you forget, the world won't end.

Many Alarms | One Key

You can have all your alarms operable with the same key. And when you re-order, you can get the same key code, even years later. Won't cost extra or take longer because it's a "custom" order. Every order we do is custom.

Changeable Core Locks

If ever your keys become compromised, you can change the lock cores to a new key code. We sell new cores for a nominal charge. (And we'll buy back your old ones for the same amount.)

Reusable

You can reuse the alarm if you replace equipment simply by buying a new baseplate. We stock and offer parts at reasonable prices for every model we've ever sold – even for models 20 years old.

10 ft / 3 meter Tether

Our extra long standard sensor gives lots of scope to reach into the ceiling from an extension mounting pole.

Stainless + Polycarbonate

Our stainless steel welded housings are so tough they blunt metal drill bits. The mounting plate is polycarbonate – strong, stiff,  break resistant. How strong? Watch this.

World's strongest glue

Mounting plates are affixed with the same 2-part methacrylate adhesive, used commercially for things that must not come apart: trucks, cars, autos, and orthopaedic bone surgery. There are cheaper and easier adhesives competitive products use. Easier for thieves too.

The kits

Our Sonic Shock 5 "full" kit pictured below has everything you need: an alarm module, base plate, glue, sensor tether assembly, and keys. And two warning stickers;  we all really prefer that thieves just leave.

If you're installing many alarms in one go, you can get substantial economies by buying our "commercial kits" which have everything BUT glue and keys, You need buy only the glue and keys you actually need rather than the default supplied in the full kits.
